Graduate as a Qualified Mindfulness Teacher

This course is for existing Mindfulness Teachers who wish to graduate as a Qualified Mindfulness Teacher. 

Criteria for application:

1. Graduation from a foundation in Teaching Mindfulness-Based approaches with Mindful Academy International or another recognized training organization (minimum 65 contact hours) If you are unsure if your course meets our requirements, please drop us an email.

2. Graduation from the Mindful Academy International MBSR and MBP Specialization course (previously Level Two)  If you were unable to take the Level Two course, please Contact Kathy to discuss how you can apply.

3. Have attended at least 1 x 5-day mindfulness silent retreat.

The Supervision-based 1-1 online course includes:

  • 8 hours of supervision with either Kathy Ward or Andras Barta (Hungarian) whilst teaching two group 8-week MBSR Courses (minimum 6 participants per course) 
  • Submission of a 3000-word reflective report based on the MBI-TAC domain learning from teaching the two courses
  • One additional hour of supervision session to reflect together on the learning and next steps

The focus of this reflective writing is the deepening of your practice and teaching skills as you gain experience in guiding others. It should be based on the 6 domains of teaching mindfulness, what you felt went well, and what you would do differently if anything, next time.   This supervision-based course is available with Kathy Ward and Andras Barta  (Hungarian) and costs €500

What You Can Say When You Have Achieved Qualified Mindfulness Teacher Status

Upon receipt of your formal Teacher Qualification Certificate, you may market and represent yourself as a “Qualified Mindfulness MBSR & MBA Teacher” as defined by the Mindful Academy International, an International Provider of Training Excellence© 

You will also be sent this badge to use as part of your publicity and be authorized to use the designation QMMT after your name.

Ongoing Supervision to support your teaching in line with the Mindfulness Good Practice Guidelines is also available.

There is also the option to take the next step to become a Certified Mindfulness Teacher.
