A typical day on the in-person and live online interactive course looks like this:
07.00 - 08.00 Silent Morning Meditation/Movement. The intention of the silent practice is to facilitate the transition into and access to a deeper and wider spaciousness of mindful awareness which will inform the developmental processes that follow each day.
08.00 - 09.00 Silent Break
09.00 - 11.30 Advanced Teaching Workshop and 8 Week Course session of the day experiential practice taught by Kathy Ward and assisted by the Teaching Assistant
11.30 - 12.00 Break
12.00 - 13.30 Advanced Teaching Methodology - Teaching Workshop exploring teaching Mindfulness exploring the intentions of both the session overall and each element. We also explore how to integrate experiential learning with dialogue and inquiry. All sessions are lead by Senior International Trainer Kathy Ward, assisted with by the Teaching Assistant. Includes time to prepare to teach the afternoon Teaching Practicals
13.30 - 15.30 Break
15.30 - 17.00 Advanced Teaching Workshop, and/or Small Group Teaching practicals - You will have the opportunity to teach either a 30 minute or 60-minute section of the session of the day to a small group followed by self-assessment, peer feedback, and/or formal supportive feedback and development through the framework of the MBI-TAC.
17.00 - 17.30 Break
17.30 - 18.30/19.00 Teaching Practicals continue
18.30/19.00 - 19.00/19.30 Regroup with time for reflection and completion of the MBI-TAC learning portfolio.
Silent practice -
Each morning we start with silent practice. We also invite you to practice silence from when the 'head hits the pillow' to after breakfast. We practice a 'soft, gentle, and nurturing silence' embodying our practice and connection to all that is.
